The Greatest World Deadliest Tsunamis

Devastation of tsunamis is a very terrifying scene that makes a real impression of chaotic state when strike any place around the globe. Usually it is the movement of earthquakes that intensifies the occurnce of big waves and makes an immense seismic disruption in ocean, Coastal dwellers and ocean vessels from any time experience the danger which leas to injuries and casualties. Many buidings, homes and other properties are often subject to the great destruction of the tsunamis. People became the first and the most affected inhabitant who suffer so much in the loss of their loveones. Some of them become hopeless and homeless due to such terrifying disaster that changed their lives.

March 11, 2011, A day that I will never forget. A day that also struck Japan because of a magnitude 8.9 earthquake followed by a tsunami.

In the last 5 decades, changes on the innovation of investigating, detecting, and recoding of tsunami becomes more comprehensive yet every time it strike, the destrucion it creates unstoppable water tht sweep away everything on its path, causing the damage and fatalities so shocking to expect. Looking back on Alaska earthquake and tsunami last March 27, 1964 that made it’s huge damage from an earthquake movement with 9.2 magnitude, significant earthquake in the Histoy of North America for being the most violent and for the changes it made on the geographic region especially with the places within Alaska which some of its land areas dropped up to the maximum of 8ft. Such event mark the mind of those who witness it, causing a great dilemma and making an imprint, why you need to know about earthquakes? It then results to a destructive tsunami that killed 23 people in Alaskan Village. The North western part of America became disrupted place along with the places in Hawaii and Japan which were also affected of such catastrophic event. Waves reached 100 ft. high with 27 ft. tsunami land in Alaska dropping up to 8 feet.

Moreover, Samoa earthquake and tsunami in 2009 made an imminent damaged Samoan Islands, swallowing the villages and created a wide destruction especially when the 8.1 magnitude results to the occurrence of the tsunami with 45 ft. in height which traveled on inland places resulting to 189 death toll. The casualties were lessened unlike on the event that happened on Haiti’s quake which is the sixth deadliest earthquake in history. This is due to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center that alerts the people to evacuate on their homes going to a much safer high ground. Furthermore, Hokkaido earthquake and tsunami on 12th day of July 1993 surprised the people like the shocking facts of the first four months of earthquake struck. The earthquake event made a magnitude of 7.8 following the dangerous tsunami sweeping Okushiri, the small Island. Many giant waves appeared ranging up to 100 ft. in height. Those people suffering from such traumatic and deadly event, were almost hopeless as after the tsunami, water rushing like flash floods on those highly affected places, making the folks to make a big question, can flash floods become a tool for the power of nature to avenge on people? The catastrophe led to 250 deaths and Grave Island damaged which takes 10 years to recover. While Tumaco earthquake and tsunami in the morning of December 12, 1979 swept the six villages near the sea and wrecked Tumaco City with 95 people who got their injuries while 798 was the death toll. People of Tumaco were in the chaotic state comparing their scenario on single attack of deadliest tornado in US history. There are several coastal towns of Colombian coastal towns ruined with total of 259 persons killed with 95 missing and 798 people injured.
